We are excited to present, in collaboration with (((folkYEAH!))), Hailu Mergia at The Chapel on Sunday, February 25th.

Keyboardist and accordionist Hailu Mergia is a member of Ethiopia’s acclaimed Walias Band during its ‘70s heyday. Mergia blends accordion, synthesizer and piano sounds to create a solid grooving hybrid of pentatonic Ethiopian melodies and gutbucket jazz-funk.

Awesome Tapes From Africa will be opening with a DJ set, and visual vibe enhancement is on deck with surf projections by Tin Ojeda. Grab your tickets here!
